Pastor Scheffey is a native of Lancaster, PA, and a former music teacher. She is a graduate of the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia (now part of United Lutheran Seminary). She serves on the board of Pleasant Valley Ecumenical Network (a local food pantry) and the council of the Northeastern PA Synod of the ELCA (Evangelical Lutheran Church in America).
