Here are many different ways to be Involved in the Community!

PVEN
Many of our members get involved in community activities and organizations. Some of our members help with food distribution at Pleasant Valley Ecumenical Network. This organization distributes food to needy families on Tuesdays. A new building has been purchased by PVEN to make more services available to people.

Memorial Day Veterans Event
Salem-St. Paul hosts the annual event sponsored by Polk Township. The event takes place at 2:00PM on the Sunday before Memorial Day.

Christmas Tree Lighting
The annual event sponsored by Polk Township is a popular event held in Adam’s Faith Garden in the front of the church. Singing carols, inspirational speakers and even a visit from Santa highlight this event. After the tree has been lit everyone is invited into the church for hot chocolate, snacks, music and Christmas crafts.

ELCA-World Hunger
Our church members also participate in World Hunger events. A special activity held in May is the Bike for Hunger – held at Trexler Park in Wescosville, PA. Bikers, walkers, and scooters enjoy the track while raising funds for hungry people around the world. This activity is sponsored by the ELCA Synod.
